Man Walks Across America For Cause And Then Quits - What Sort Of Example Is That?

Perhaps you have heard stories of various people who have bicycled or walked across America for a cause. It's a major achievement, and even at the shortest point; coast to coast is about 3,000 miles. It is a monumental undertaking, but before you go off and do something spectacular like that for a worthy cause you need to make sure you have everything in order.

You'll need all the right gear and the right attitude. It will not be easy and it can get quite expensive if you stay in hotels or have a road crew to assist you. If you go by bicycle it could take anywhere from 3-weeks to 1.5 months, and on foot, heck it could take 4-6 months depending on your average daily trek. Now then, the reason for this article is to tell you of a man who set out to walk across America and then quit. He did so for Autism and claims to have a good excuse for letting everyone in his town down, including all the donors and service clubs.

The gentleman with the noble calling proclaims himself of strong character and a strong belief system, but about 1/3 of the way across the country, he quit. Why did he quit? It turns out that the oldest son in the family got in trouble with police again, this time selling drugs. So where as on one hand he is trying to raise money for a good cause, he did not have things squared away at home. The failed father returned and let down all those supporters, what a tragedy.

Do Not Fail in Your Efforts - It makes a really bad example!
